Chesterfield Repair Cafe – new venue!
October 19 @ 10:00 am - 1:00 pm
Repair Cafe is moving! To a new ground-floor venue at Chesterfield Baptist Church, Cross St, S40 4ST. Monkey Park has kindly hosted us for three years but we have outgrown the space, and it is time to find somewhere bigger and more accessible. We would like to say a big thank you to Monkey Park for all their support and please continue to use their cycle repair workshop and cafe.
We are also changing from the 2nd to the 3rd Saturday in the month, and the sessions will now end at lunchtime to help reduce the strain on volunteer fixers. Please bring your items early to give the fixers time to look at the problem. Last orders 12.30 pm.
Bring in any broken toys, toasters, bikes, laptops and holey jumpers and our team of volunteers will try and help you fix them at our regular monthly Repair Cafe. It’s free but donations welcome.
Do you have any favourite clothes that have lost their buttons? We have a vast selection of spare buttons. Come along and take part in our skillshare and learn how to sew on a new button – or even see if we have any that you could use for a project you’ve got on the go.
And as it’s going to be Hallowe’en at the end of the month, bring along some stuff you’d like to convert into a costume and even last year’s costume and we’ll see if we can help you make it really scary!
We are interested in hearing from new volunteers, not necessarily just for fixing but also to help with other tasks such as the refreshments that we’ll now be offering – any offer of help considered! Please contact Margaret at email@example.com
